Please consider a generous contribution to The Bridge Fund. We depend upon private contributions like yours for the vast majority of our funding. In 2012, our goal is to raise $2.9 million dollars.

In 2012, we are committed to giving financial assistance for rental arrears to more than 1,100 households in New York City and Westchester. The prolonged recession continues to severely impact the working poor. Bridge Fund clients have jobs and housing they can afford, but because of an unexpected financial problem, such as an uninsured illness, have fallen behind in their rent. The number of people who comprise the "working poor" has also increased as more people face the consequences of a stressed economy. Government agencies, facing steep budget cuts, cannot keep up with the numbers of people needing help, and as a result, more people are turning to The Bridge Fund. Now, more than ever, your support is essential to helping The Bridge Fund meet this critical need.
